Most common error faced during the time of installing CRM 4.0 in SBS2008 and SQL Server 2008.

 Error text-

"When trying to install CRM 4.0, I get the following error at the System
Requirements stage of the install:

Setup failed to validate specified Reporting Services Report Server
http://SERVER1/ReportServer. Error: The operation you are attempting requires
a secure connection (HTTPS).
System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: The operation you are
attempting requires a secure connection (HTTPS). --->
Microsoft.ReportingServices.Diagnostics.Utilities.SecureConnectionRequiredException: The operation you are attempting requires a secure connection (HTTPS).

I had the same problem... Installing CRM 4 with SQL 2008 Reporting Services
server. "

Solution

Called Microsoft support. Solution was to edit rsreportserver.config, which
is at:

Path\Microsoft SQL Server\MSRS10.MSCRMRPT\Reporting
Services\ReportServer

Line 17 was <Add Key="SecureConnectionLevel" value="2"/>

Change the value from 2 to 0, restart reporting service, and then rerun CRM installtion this error will be resolved.
